Terms:

 Fixed term until 31 August 2023 with possibility of extension to post, pending review of top up funding.

Pay grade and Salary:

Qualification to obtain E4 pay grade: NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification Post 1 and 2:

Unqualified - E3: £16,573 - £16,874 per annum pro rata

Qualified –E4: £17,182 - £18,477 per annum pro rata

Post 3:

Unqualified – E3: £10,198 - £10,384 per annum pro rata

Qualified – E4: £10,574 - £11,370 per annum pro rata

An ELAN LSA is positive, a team player, motivational, flexible, creative, and innovative with a supportive nature, as well as being confident, calm, consistent and resourceful with experience supporting pupils in a classroom environment, with Special Educational Needs or disabilities (SEND).

You will work closely with the class teachers to resource and adapt planning and support high quality teaching and learning across all subjects. You will help to create learning environments where pupils can expand their knowledge. You will work with the school community to uphold our trust and school values.

You need to be proactive, energetic, and committed to engaging pupils, developing their desire to learn. You will help to inspire them to be confident and independent. You will also need to be calm, patient, sensitive and able to comfort children when they are upset. This role is funded by additional SEN funding.

Post 1 is supporting a Year 2 pupil with moderate learning difficulties as well as hearing and visual impairment. The role will continue if the funding continues, and the pupil remains at Oldmixon.

Post 2 is supporting a range of children with SEND needs all across the school working both 1:1 and in small groups.

Post 3 is supporting a Year 4 pupil with SEMH needs. The role will continue if the funding continues, and the pupil remains at Oldmixon.
